Back in the 1960s, Beirut was well known for being the printing press of the Arab World. With down town Beirut as its birth place, Salim Dabbous Printing Co. enjoyed a privilege few printers in the region did: it was easy to reach and the company was eager to reach out and make connections with its growing number of clients.

Today, with its headquarters in the same location, and its large printing facility in Bchamoun just outside Beirut, the company has reached out to clients in three continents: Asia, Africa and Europe.

We are very proud of what we have accomplished; what once was the location of a company that started back in 1959 is now only a small corner in the premises.

Environmentally Friendly Products

As part of its commitment to this concept, the company is using vegetable oil based inks instead of the regular petrol oil based inks. Most of the chemicals used in the printing process meet European standards, when it comes to health hazards and safety measures. Most importantly, all the waste paper that the printing press produces go straight to the recycling plants, by pick-up trucks that are fully dedicated to this matter. The company is now also committed to investing in emerging eco-friendly solutions and technologies and is gradually integrating them in its daily production process.

Support to Cultural Activities

In its attempt to encourage intercultural activities in Lebanon, the company has supported and continues to support local venues that play live jazz music. The company is also one of the leading supporters of a number of local theatre plays in Lebanon.

Support to Community Work

Every year, our company supports “Cedars for Care” an NGO that runs a much-needed support and to improve the life of underprivileged families in Lebanon. This major charity act comes to life by the efforts of hundreds of volunteers that work together towards a noble cause. Salim Dabbous Printing Company prides itself for being part of this blessed work. www.cedarsforcare.org

Another NGO our company is proud to partner with is SANAD, the Home Hospice Care Organization of Lebanon. SANAD’s mission is to provide comprehensive home-based hospice care to terminally ill patients while preserving their dignity and enhancing the quality of their remaining life within the calm and sanctuary of their own home, surrounded by family and loved ones. This support includes medical, social, and psychological support to the patients and their family members. www.sanadhospice.org
